Climate change

Here's my street about halfway through the storm. It doesn't really do justice but it does show a firetruck backing down our street (followed by a police car) because it was the only way they could get through the snow. I imagine we have more years like this ahead, with records being smashed. Or perhaps next year we'll have no snow at all. Nobody really knows.

Colin, This is the best winter I can remember. Finally, snow like Chicago used to get (before I moved up from the south)....

And I understand your comment about people misunderstanding (and not believing the existance of) global warming. I was listening to a talk show after a big snow and some idiot called in saying he had just finished shoveling 28 inches of global warming off his driveway.

Since the show's host was low on time and a gracious man....he let it slide. I, on the other hand, screamed at the radio. Not as effective as...say, recycling, but it made me feel better.

Hi Robin,

Well as I understand it the warmer temperatures this winter are contributing to the snow. La nina too though. Glad you're enjoying the big weather.
